Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Monterey, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer supporting a government parking location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors with professionalism and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, parking patrons, and municipal staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of parking facilities, lots, structures, access points, and surrounding perimeter areas to help identify unauthorized activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor parking areas for suspicious activity, vehicle-related concerns, and access issues, and report observations through established communication and reporting procedures.
• Respond to incidents, parking-related disputes, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; request additional assistance when needed.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and observations accurately, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
