Program Overview and Benefits: Republic Airways is proud to offer an internship program that prepares students for the workforce. While we provide resources to help interns sharpen skills and make meaningful contributions in their department, we also provide the following during the internships:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Aggregate, analyze, and transform data from a variety of sources into actionable dashboards, reports, and business insights  

  • Analyze operational performance, capacity trends, and resource constraints to identify improvement opportunities and support planning decisions. 

  • Prepare or reconcile budgets/data for various parts of Operations 

  • Develop automated tools, dashboards, and performance metrics to track operational performance and resource utilization 

  • Display information on data visualization platforms to support management decision making 

  • Develop new reporting and analytical methods to improve process efficiency and accuracy 

  • Utilize AI, automation, and advanced analytics tools to improve reporting efficiency and business processes, where appropriate 

  • Communicate financial and technical information to cross-departmental teams 

  • Perform other duties, analyses, reports, and presentations as assigned 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree (B.A. / B.S.) in Aviation Management, Industrial Management, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or other related analytical fields 

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale 

  • Advanced analytical skills using Excel, including PivotTables, Power Query, formulas, and basic data modeling. 

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a business group 

  • Strong analytical and communication skills 

  • Familiarity with Tableau or Microsoft Power BI or other data visualization product 

 

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Ability to work onsite at our Carmel Headquarters location, unless otherwise directed by manager 

  • Ability to work up to 40 hours per week with a minimum of 20 hours for spring and fall interns 

  • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS 

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documentsAbility to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business communityAbility to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. 

 

REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY 

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variablesAble to read and interpret technical, regulatory and contractual documentationAble to maintain confidentiality.
