Partnering with governments, armed forces, industry, and academia, we create sovereign IP, dual-use technologies, and NATO/EU-aligned innovations that reduce risk and accelerate capability delivery.We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer to lead hands-on security engineering across our R&D projects. You will turn architecture, requirements, and risk findings into implemented, validated security controls, and mentor engineers along the way.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead security engineering activities for complex systems, platforms, and R&D project components
- Translate security architecture, requirements, and threat models into implementable technical controls
- Design and implement security mechanisms across networks, operating systems, applications, and cloud environments
- Perform threat modelling, security risk analysis, hardening, and penetration testing
- Review system designs and configurations from a security perspective
- Lead resolution of complex security findings and support root-cause analysis
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers
- Author and co-author technical security content for R&D deliverables and reports

- Secure systems engineering and secure-by-design practices
- Threat modelling and risk-based security engineering
- Security testing, penetration testing, and validation methodologies
- DevSecOps and evidence-based security assurance

- Implemented and validated security controls and configurations

- Technical security designs and hardening documentationSecurity architectures and R&D deliverable sections
Skills & Experience
- Extensive hands-on experience in cyber security or secure systems engineering
- Strong knowledge of network, infrastructure, operating-system, application, and data security
- Experience designing and implementing security controls in complex or distributed systems
- Practical experience with security testing, vulnerability management, and hardening
- Understanding of cloud, virtualisation, containers, DevSecOps, PKI, and cryptography
- Experience leading technical security workstreams or mentoring engineers
- CISSP, OSCP, GIAC, or cloud security certifications are a plus
- Willingness to complete a government security clearance process

Salary range:
€4600-6500 gross/monthly (full-time).Final compensation will depend on factors such as relevant experience, role seniority, and skill set.
