Receivables Specialist, LATAM
Hybrid - Sao Paulo, Brazil

Role Overview:
The Receivables Specialist, LATAM supports healthy cash flow by managing customer receivables and following up on outstanding invoices across the region. The role combines consistent collection activities with a customer-focused approach, maintaining positive relationships while working toward timely payments. This position also supports collection forecasting, payment reconciliation, withholding tax documentation, and accurate customer account records. Working closely with Sales, Finance, and other internal teams, the specialist helps resolve issues that may impact collections and provides visibility into customer account status. At Genesys, this role contributes to reliable financial operations and a positive experience for customers across LATAM.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage customer accounts across LATAM, following up on outstanding invoices and payment commitments while maintaining positive customer relationships.
Monitor open and overdue invoices, maintain regular collection follow-up, and escalate payment issues when appropriate.
Prepare collection forecasts based on customer commitments and current account status.
Review bank statements and payment information to identify payments received and support accurate reconciliation and allocation.
Collect and maintain withholding tax certificates and other documentation related to customer accounts.
Maintain accurate records of collection activities, customer communications, payment commitments, and next steps in the collection system.
Partner with Sales, Finance, and other internal teams to resolve issues that may delay customer payments.
Prepare reports and provide visibility into customer account status, outstanding balances, and collection progress.
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of relevant professional experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, or a related finance function.
Advanced to fluent proficiency in Portuguese, Spanish and English, particularly in verbal communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
Experience working directly with customers on collections, payment follow-up, or accounts receivable matters.
Good understanding of accounts receivable processes, including payment reconciliation and account maintenance.
Strong Excel skills, including experience with PivotTables, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with a customer-focused approach to collections.
Good organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple customer accounts.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a SaaS, technology, or telecom company.
Experience with Salesforce, Workday, Esker, or similar business systems.
Familiarity with ChatGPT, Claude, or similar AI tools.
