POSITION DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Executive Chef and Chef De Cuisine, the Dishwasher/Prep Cook is responsible for supporting the kitchen operations by performing a range of food preparation and cleaning tasks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
· Assist with food prep and cooking tasks as needed.
· Measure and weigh ingredients to ensure accuracy.
· Store food items properly and rotate stock to ensure freshness.
· Assist with inventory and stocking supplies.
· Operate commercial dishwashing equipment, ensuring all dishes, glassware, and utensils are clean and sanitized.
· Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area.
· Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down counters and appliances, and cleaning equipment.
· Assist with trash and recycling removal and disposal.
Requirements
TECHNICAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
· 1 year of cooking experience in a fast-paced environment preferred.
· Lifting/moving up to 50lbs required.
· Working knowledge of kitchen sanitation and food preparation techniques.
· Knowledge of all kitchen cleaning supplies and chemicals and their uses required.
· Knowledge of basic dish machine operations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
· Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
· Able to stand and exert fast paced mobility for entire shift. Able to balance, lift, bend,
kneel, stoop, and wipe.
· Able to work in a kitchen environment with temperature fluctuation during shift.
