Wieland is hiring a Sales Manager. The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving the strategic growth by aggressively acquiring new customers and expanding relationships with existing accounts. They will develop and execute a dynamic go-to-market strategy, adapting to evolving market conditions and collaborating cross-functionally with Sales Business Units (SBUs) and Procurement to optimize pricing and buying strategies, ensuring alignment with overall market segment goals.
This role is a preferred location in the North East: Reading, PA; Waterbury, CT or Ohio.
Base Salary Range: $102,000 - $125,000 annually
May be eligible for a variable compensation plan bonus based upon company performance within fiscal year cycle.

Responsibilities
Sales Manager Responsibilities:
- Business Results: Deliver budgeted sales volumes and margins for all assigned accounts.
- Customer Relationships: Establish, manage, and lead all aspects of customer relationships w/ designated account base (in close collaboration with Customer Service).
- Agreements: Develop, secure, & execute all formal/informal commercial arrangements w/ customer base.
- Execute: Own & manage commercial forecast, finish goods inventory, terms, and compliance with special agreements for designated account base.
- Strategy/Planning: Develop and manage the strategic and tactical plans for assigned accounts (in close collaboration with SBU leaders).
- Business Development: Identify and manage business development efforts in conjunction with Technical Marketing and other internal groups, both with assigned customers and other prospects.
- Intel: Acquire & disseminate market/customer intelligence with the organization, including via mandatory call reports and managing/updating customer profiles in assigned systems (ex: Wieland CRM).
- People: Develop and facilitate relationships with cross functional teams (including Customer Service, Supply Chain, Production Planning, Accounting, Finance, etc.) to maximize support and value delivered to assigned accounts, including leading project teams as needed/assigned.
- Admin: Responsibly manage expenses, business processes, and other administrative duties of position.

Sales Manager Qualifications:
- Education: BS/BA degree in a relevant field (preferably with a marketing, technical, or engineering focus)
- Experience: 4+ years of relevant experience in the industry, preferably serving in/directly supporting sales & marketing and/or business development functions; track record of working with operations & supply chain; prior involvement in strategic planning for segment, product line, and/or broader business; demonstrated capability with enterprise systems (ERP, APS) & applications (MS including Excel & PPT).
- People: Strong interpersonal skills; ability to influence others & build/deliver persuasive arguments; proven record of leading teams to deliver on objectives.
- Communication: Professional written and verbal communication skills as demonstrated in e-mail, phone/video, and face-to-face in dealing with customers and other internal/external stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Driven to identify, comprehend, & address customer needs (business, technical, social).
- Data: Ability to analyze data, activities, and events to uncover & secure opportunities for the business.
- Decisions: Facilitate timely & effective decisions via research/preparation, application of judgement/perspective, storytelling, and organizational savvy.
- Approach: Enthusiastic, committed, and target-oriented; creative, resilient, and diplomatically assertive.
- Results: Record of delivering business results while balancing multiple tasks, stakeholders, and interests.
- Travel: Willing to travel nationwide as business needs dictate up to 65% of the time; preferrable location in the North East.
