Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Laboratory Technician As a Laboratory Technician you will be responsible for performing functions to complete all fingerprint and sales sample analysis according to EPA, RCRA and waste analysis plan-approved methods in the laboratory. This role operates instrumentation independently and calculates, runs, prepares and reports analytical data.
This position works with the facility leader, AC and/or Approvals to ensure proper testing of product code analysis is completed.
- Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and consistently maintaining safe practices
- Prepares, composites and logs samples, per the Waste Analysis Plan
- Performs required fingerprint and pre-approval sample analysis, per the Waste Analysis Plan and reports according to supervisor
- Completes bench analysis for in-house processing
- Prepares and checks calibration curves for all analytical instrumentation
- Monitors lab instrumentation for malfunction or incompatibility with samples
- Monitors lab equipment and chemical supply inventory and places purchase requests with supervisor
- Maintains proper logs based on Company policies and procedures
- Coordinates the retention and disposal of lab samples and waste per Company policy
- Performs housekeeping duties per Company policy
- Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization
Education
- Bachelor’s degree (required); specialization in chemistry (preferred)Experience
- In lieu of degree, 2+ years of documented laboratory work experience (required)
