Senior Manager, Boutique Transformation Excellence

About the role:
CHANEL is seeking a Senior Manager, Boutique Transformation Excellence to lead and optimize key aspects of boutique network transformation, driving excellence in communications, governance, project management, and policy oversight. This pivotal role is responsible for steering the Fashion Retail Activity Calendar and its supporting governance, ensuring visibility and predictability of retail initiatives while minimizing last-minute disruptions. You will establish best-in-class communications and information flow for Retail Leadership, launch and evolve centralized resources, and partner cross-functionally to implement transformative solutions. Additionally, you will oversee the governance of US Fashion Retail policies and procedures, manage strategic transformation projects under the Boutique Excellence (BX) pillar, and ensure seamless alignment between corporate and boutique teams to elevate Retail ways of working across the organization.
What impact you can create at CHANEL:
1. Drive & Optimize Fashion Retail Activity through governance & Fashion Retail Activity Calendar
- Drive the Fashion Retail Activity Calendar governance, managing intake, review, approvals, publishing, through a consistent operating rhythm.
- Maintain calendar usability standards for Retail, including accessible views, live and print-friendly options, color coding, and visibility of peak/protected time.
- Partner with key stakeholders to finalize dates and publish on a predictable cadence, keeping the calendar “live” for controlled minor changes.
2. Establish a single source of truth for Fashion Retail communications, beginning with an interim weekly digest and central hub for Retail Leadership, with the goal of evolving to an automated solution in partnership with Fashion Tech.
- Partner with Chanel Tech and Fashion Tech to design and implement an automated communications solution for Fashion Retail Leadership teams.
- In the interim, launch and manage a weekly digest and centralized hub that serve as the single source of truth for Fashion Leadership communications, coordinating cross-functional input and owning end-to-end editorial execution, including content sourcing, drafting, editing, scheduling, archiving, and continuous improvement.
3. Support Strategic Projects Under BX Transformation
- Support project management for retail transformation initiatives across Boutique Excellence, Tech, P&O and more, ensuring synergy between BX’s Performance, Transformation and Operations teams.
- Working across cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders in both corporate and retail environments, with the ability to influence without direct authority
- Creating and delivering communications that empower teams, cut through noise, and support operational excellence
- Bringing structure and clarity to complex processes so information flows smoothly and consistently
- Building strong cross-functional relationships to develop aligned, high-impact communications
- Turning feedback and insights into practical improvements that meaningfully support boutique teams
- Leading change by championing new tools, processes, and ways of working that enhance the Retail experience
4. Oversee Framework & Governance for US Fashion Retail Policies & Procedures
- Own governance for all US retail policies and procedures, ensuring clarity, relevance, and compliance.
- Maintain, review, and update existing policies; lead development of new ones in partnership with cross-functional teams.
- Manage the SharePoint site for policy documentation, keeping content organized, current, and accessible.
- Communicate updates and provide guidance to retail teams, ensuring consistent understanding and application.
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in retail communications or store operations, preferably with a luxury brand.
- Strong project management skills and experience with digital communication tools (including but not limited to PowerPoint, Excel, Smartsheet)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Understanding of retail ecosystem (Ideally store experience)
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive adoption of new processes.

Compensation:
- The anticipated base salary range for this position is $87,500 through $125,000. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other forms of variable pay [may/will] be offered for this position. Other components [may/will] include bonus potential, benefits, and/or perks.
