Description
Multimatic Inmet manufactures fully engineered, high quality components, assemblies and systems such as bumpers and chassis/body structural components for high volume vehicle manufacturers.
Multimatic Inmet is currently looking for a CMM Programmer/Operator who will be responsible for programming, and measuring components on our CMM machine, as well as operating other relevant equipment to ensure manufacture components are in spec.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Programming and operating a CMM, using PC-DMIS software
- Conventional measuring, using a range of hand equipment, shadowgraph, etc. (training can be provided)
- Preparing inspection reports for internal and external use
- Reporting results to relevant departments
- Assist the Quality Manager and Quality Engineers as assigned
- Works in compliance with IATF16949 and ISO14001 standards
- Will work in compliance with all legislative requirements of the OHSA
- Work in a safe manner at all times
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5 years of advanced CMM programming experience using PC-DMIS
- Must have experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably automotive manufacturing)
- Solid understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing
- Ability to organize and prioritize
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Good organization and communication skills
- Excellent problem solving techniques
- Ability to interact with all levels of employees in the organization
- Computer skills in the area of Word & Excel and other databases
