About the program:

The Lathrop Manteca Fire District utilizes the Reserve Firefighter role to augment our effective emergency staffing strength. The Fire Board has authorized the Fire Chief to fill these ranks with up to 35 members. The LMFD prides itself on having one of the best opportunities available for those that want to serve in this capacity.  LMFD Volunteer/Reserve Firefighters are on call 24-hours a day to provide back-up to the fire department at various types of incidents. They are held accountable to LMFD training standards. The reserve program at LMFD is a very exciting and rewarding start to a career in the fire service. Many of our reserves have made careers out of this program. Reserves are a great asset to Lathrop Manteca Fire District and participate as a member of the engine company. This program offers a great opportunity to increase your knowledge and skill level while building your resume in pursuit of a career in the Fire Service.

Expectations:

As a member of the reserve program you will be a member of our crews. On your scheduled shifts you will train with the crew, respond to any calls within the district and assist with daily activities.
