What You'll Do

• Design and deliver distributed systems that are scalable, resilient, and optimized for high-performance,
• compliance-critical regulatory transactions.
• Lead the development of AI-enabled product capabilities that improve automation, validation accuracy,
• anomaly detection, document intelligence, regulatory interpretation, and operational decision-making.
• Identify and prioritize high-impact workflows where AI can reduce customer effort, increase compliance
• confidence, improve processing speed, or mitigate risk.
• Drive architectural decisions that balance innovation, regulatory requirements, data security, performance,
• and long-term maintainability.
• Partner closely with Product and Data teams to translate AI opportunities into secure, production-grade, and
• scalable implementations.
• Embed AI into the software development lifecycle to materially improve engineering speed, quality, testing
• depth, and operational insight.
• Simplify complex regulatory and technical challenges into clean, maintainable system designs.
• Raise the AI and technical bar of the team through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and example.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be

• Own end-to-end delivery of critical platform components within E-Invoicing and Outlook Plugin products ecosystem.
• Design and implement APIs and services capable of handling high-throughput, global regulatory workloads.
• Architect and integrate AI-driven components (e.g., intelligent validation engines, predictive workflows,
• pattern recognition, automation systems).
• Evaluate AI models and tools with strong technical judgment, balancing accuracy, explainability, cost
• efficiency, compliance, and security.
• Quantify and communicate the impact of AI-driven improvements (e.g., automation rates, defect reduction,
• performance gains, cycle time improvements).
• Ensure responsible AI governance, including data privacy, regulatory alignment, and risk mitigation.
• Influence technical direction through clear communication, architectural proposals, and data-driven
• reasoning.
• Proactively identify performance, scalability, or reliability gaps and drive improvements.
• Continuously elevate engineering standards across quality, observability, automation, and system simplicity.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful

• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 11+ years of relevant software engineering experience building distributed systems.
• Strong backend and/or full-stack expertise (e.g., Go, React, or similar frameworks).
• Experience designing scalable cloud-native systems.
• Experience with relational databases and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proven ability to influence technical decisions and deliver complex initiatives.
• Experience building AI-powered product features with measurable impact.
• Ability to quantify AI-driven improvements in speed, quality, cost, or scalability.
• Strong judgment in AI tool/model selection and governance.
• Ability to elevate AI capability across the team through mentorship and knowledge sharing.
