Assistant Manager / Manager (AAYS Programme Lead)
Roles & Requirements:
AAYS Programme Lead & Management:
- Lead the overall planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Appropriate Adults for Young Suspects (AAYS) Scheme.
- Ensure the effective and efficient day-to-day operations of the programme, maintaining high standards of service delivery and operational readiness.
- Develop and implement programme strategies, annual work plans and key performance indicators in alignment with organisational goals and stakeholder expectations.
- Oversee programme budgets, resource allocation, procurement and financial reporting to ensure prudent stewardship of resources.
- Oversee the administration, enhancement and continuous review of the Call Activation System (CAS) Web and Mobile App along with the Volunteer Management System in Care Corner, ensuring that system functionalities, user experience and operational processes remain aligned with programme needs.
- Lead programme audits, governance reviews and risk management processes, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and funding requirements.
- Work closely with government agencies, law enforcement stakeholders and community partners to ensure the successful delivery and sustainability of the AAYS Scheme.
Volunteer Management & Operations
- Lead and strengthen organisation-wide volunteer management, engagement and development efforts in accordance with Care Corner's Volunteer Management Framework.
- Lead and actively participate in volunteer and community engagement operations, maintaining a strong understanding of ground processes and volunteer experiences to drive operational improvements, service excellence and organisational outcomes
- Work closely with Head, Volunteer & Community Engagement to drive organisation-wide volunteer initiatives, strategic partnerships and engagement opportunities that enhance volunteer participation, strengthen community impact and build organisational capacity.
- Monitor and analyse volunteer, operational and programme performance data to inform decision-making, improve volunteer experiences and support strategic planning.
- Oversee operational planning, coordination, and administration for volunteer operations across the organization.
- Foster collaboration across internal teams and external stakeholders to strengthen volunteer involvement, community engagement and organizational outcomes
- Oversee the effective use, maintenance, and continuous improvement of volunteer management systems.
Requirement:
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in programme management, volunteer
management or related fields. - At least 3 years of direct experience leading and supervising teams, with the
ability to coach, develop and manage staff performance. - Ability to contribute effectively as an individual contributor in a fast-paced environment
- Strong programme and operational management skills, with experience
overseeing service delivery, budgets, governance and risk management. - Experience in stakeholder engagement and partnership management across
government, corporate and community sectors with the ability to build
collaborative relationships across multiple sectors. - Strong facilitation, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to
engage diverse audiences and stakeholders. - Be an effective conduit of information and collaboration between management,
staff, volunteers, partners and external stakeholders. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and continuous improvement.
