The Technical Product Owner for DAG Development will serve as a product and technical liaison between the DAG Development team, legal teams, practice support, and other stakeholders. This role will help translate business needs into clear requirements, coordinate product rollout and adoption, gather feedback, track enhancements, and support continuous improvement of internally developed solutions. While this role is not expected to serve as the team’s primary developer, the successful candidate should have sufficient technical fluency to understand software development concepts, data workflows, user experience considerations, and the practical implications of technical decisions.
Maintaining an in-office presence is important to delivering our services through an integrated and collaborative work culture. This position will reside in either our Houston or Philadelphia office with a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule.
Responsibilities:

Support the execution of the product vision and roadmap for eData and DAG Development solutions.
Help translate product ideas and stakeholder needs into clear priorities, requirements, and actionable next steps.
Communicate the value, purpose, and practical use cases of new tools and features to internal stakeholders.
Assist with rollout, onboarding, and adoption of new functionality.
Identify recurring support issues, user pain points, and enhancement requests that should be considered for future product improvements.
Help maintain visibility into product status, upcoming releases, enhancement priorities, and stakeholder feedback.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with legal teams, practice technology, practice support, development, and other technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Act as a liaison between the development team and business users to clarify needs, communicate constraints, and support effective decision-making.
Help organize and improve processes for intake, prioritization, communication, rollout, and feedback collection.
Lead the execution of product adoption strategies, including pilot programs, stakeholder demos, user communications, and follow-up.
Serve as a central coordination point for product-related requests, feedback, and enhancement tracking.
Product Development Support
Manage feature intake and first-level requirements gathering.
Assist with early shaping and definition of work before development review.
Translate stakeholder needs into clear requirements, user stories, workflow notes, acceptance criteria, or other development-ready documentation.
Coordinate project activities, stakeholder communications, and follow-up items.
Support documentation, workflow mapping, release notes, and user-facing guidance.
Prepare and deliver internal demos and help promote awareness of internally developed solutions.
Assist with internal application support, onboarding, configuration, and troubleshooting coordination.
Track post-launch feedback and help determine whether issues should be handled as support, training, configuration, or future enhancement items.
Data, AI & Analytics
Support products and features involving eDiscovery, data analytics, AI/ML, and Generative AI-enabled workflows, including:
Technology-Assisted Review (TAR)
Predictive coding and machine learning
Generative AI applications for summarization, privilege detection, clustering, and related use cases
Review analytics, workflow optimization, and cost-reduction initiatives
Assist with requirements gathering, rollout planning, user feedback, and enhancement tracking for data, AI, and analytics solutions.
Use feedback, usage patterns, and support themes to help identify opportunities to improve review efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance user experience.
Adoption & Enablement
Partner with internal stakeholders on product positioning, demos, communications, and adoption planning.
Support onboarding for internal users, legal teams, practice groups, and, where applicable, client-facing solution rollouts.
Proactively gather feedback from users and stakeholders to support continuous improvement.
Help prepare training materials, release notes, FAQs, workflow guides, and other enablement resources.
Coordinate post-launch check-ins to assess adoption, usability, support needs, and future enhancements.
This role helps lead and ensure that solutions developed by the DAG Development team are clearly defined, successfully rolled out, adopted by users, supported with effective documentation, and continuously improved based on stakeholder feedback.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in product management, product development, legal technology, eDiscovery, software development, or a related field.
Three (3) to seven (7+) years of experience in product management, legal technology, or eDiscovery is preferred.
Experience with AI/ML, Generative AI, cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, and data pipelines is preferred.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in a collaborative technology environment using tools for issue tracking, documentation, project management, design, and product development.
Knowledge of software, visual, UI, and UX design principles, including web accessibility and usability best practices, with working proficiency in HTML/CSS and an understanding of how design decisions impact development and user experience.
Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with attorneys, employees, clients, vendors, and technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong strategic thinking, project management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects, manage competing demands, adapt to changing priorities, and connect user needs with broader business and technology objectives.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, exercise sound judgment, define problems, collect and analyze information, establish facts, draw conclusions, and develop practical solutions.
