Description
Advanced level claims handling position for managing, investigating, and resolving claims involving minor property damage and more complex bodily injury claims filed against the MTA. Receives general supervision from the Claims Supervisor or other designated officials.
Duties
Manages a caseload of approximately 150-175 individual claims files with multiple claimants
arising out of MTA operations.
• Individual claims files assigned by the MTA TIG Management to this level adjuster will involve property damage and bodily injury claims typically reserved at $25,000 or greater.
• This position is also responsible for any other duty or task that would be required in order to meet the performance requirement of the job.
Education and Experience
Bachelors’ Degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) year of experience.
Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate
and four (4) years of experience investigating, settling and handling automobile property
damage, bodily injury and general liability claims.
