Join our dynamic team as an Installation Technician at Critical Alert. This role will work closely with project management, operations, and installation teams to install new nurse call systems at our customers.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following general areas:
Takes daily direction from the Installation Supervisor or Operations Services Manager
Perform service, maintenance, modifications and installation at customer healthcare sites, with minimal supervision
Provide on-site customer repairs; responsible for delivering both timely and effective repairs
Diagnose cause of system malfunctions to prevent additional problems
Follow procedures for testing equipment and perform preventive maintenance activities, adhering to all quality assurance testing plans
Coordinates modification and maintenance activities to prevent interruptions in operations
Informs Supervisor/Manager of any and all system problems immediately so that they can be relayed, communicated, and escalated as necessary
Prepares and provides reports as requested on system issues and projects
Collaborates and communicates effectively with sales, co-workers, other departments, and customers
Dedicated to providing excellent customer service; develop and maintain strong and effective relationships with various levels of customers
Manage company assets which may include company vehicle, cell phone, computer, tools, inventory parts, etc.
Operate safely and within guidelines or regulations. Demonstrate a pro-active approach towards, safety, health, and quality in compliance with all company, governmental and customer regulations

Strong work ethic; reliable, shows up on time, and puts in the work without needing to be micromanaged
Genuine willingness to learn hands-on trade skills on the job
Ability to take direction from and work well with teammates on-site
Prior technical or trade experience is a plus, but not required; we care more about work ethic and willingness to learn than a resume
Proficient use of tools and service test equipment
Comfortable working side-by-side in a two-person team, depending on your partner and being depended on — this is not a solo role
Ability to operate in customer locations with minimal supervision
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers
Ability to communicate effectively to customers, employees and management
Genuine willingness to travel extensively — typically 2-3 weeks at a time, living out of hotels, with early mornings and long physical days; this is a major lifestyle commitment, not occasional travel
Ability and willingness to work different shifts as business needs dictate
Valid driver’s license and good driving record over the last 3 years
Physical Requirements:
This role requires regular physical activity in the field, including but not limited to:
Frequently climbing and working from ladders, including in ceilings, ductwork, and other overhead or tight spaces
Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs of tools, cable, and equipment
Standing, kneeling, crouching, and reaching overhead for extended periods during a shift
Working in active construction environments alongside general contractors, including exposure to noise, dust, and uneven surfaces
Sustaining extended travel schedules, typically 2-3 weeks at a time, including nights away from home

We believe in paying fairly and equitably based on a number of factors including but not limited to work experience, interview performance, internal equity, geography, and expected level of responsibilities
This position is offering a pay rate of $18.00-$22.00 per hour
