Requirements:
Must have 6 months prior work experience in a meat processing facility
Location is currently no accepting rehires
Heavy Skilled Production positions require advanced skills and experience in a production environment. Team members may use knives, hooks, saws, forklifts, or other processing and material-handling equipment, depending on the assigned position.
The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Examples of positions include: Ham Boners, Gutters, Head Droppers, Neck Bone Raisers, Rib Pullers, Mule Drivers, and Forklift Operators.
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform skilled processing tasks involving pork products, including cutting, trimming, deboning, and product handling.
- Safely operate knives, saws, forklifts, and other processing or material-handling equipment, as required by the position.
- Follow all food safety, quality, and workplace safety procedures.
- Move, transport, and handle products and materials throughout the production process.
Work Environment:
- Work is performed in a manufacturing/processing environment that may be wet, humid, cold, hot, or otherwise variable.
- Temperatures may range from approximately 35°F to over 100°F, depending on the work area.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand and walk on concrete or other hard surfaces for up to 10 hours per shift.
- Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and repetitive use of hands and arms.
- May require climbing ladders and working from elevated platforms.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull materials weighing up to 80 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.
Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner.

Bids are awarded on departmental seniority ie: Harvest/Processing/Freezer
6 month freeze periods from further bidding will be applied to bid winners that bid a LATERAL bid (same grade job) DOWN bid (lower grade job) Self Disqualify or Self withdraw their bid after the award date.
12 month freeze periods will be applied to bid winners that are awarded a bid in another department ie: Freezer/Warehouse to Production or Production to Freezer/Warehouse (this does not apply to Harvest to Processing/Converting)
