Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in a business that transforms lives through intelligent hearing solutions?
GN Hearing is on an exciting journey, continuously strengthening our business and how we support customers, employees and leaders. As our People & Culture Manager for France and Italy, you will play a key role in enabling this journey - shaping a strong people agenda and supporting our organisations through growth, change and continuous improvement.
Based in Paris (Rungis, France), you will be the local People & Culture lead for GN Hearing across both France and Italy. You will work closely with country leadership teams, employees and the global GN Hearing People & Culture organisation. The role combines business partnering with hands-on operational People & Culture delivery and requires some travel to Italy.
Your role:
As People & Culture Manager, you will be responsible for the full people agenda across GN Hearing in both countries, supporting more than 100 FTEs. You will ensure that our people priorities support the business strategy, that employees have a positive experience throughout their journey with GN Hearing, and that we operate in line with local legislation and GN policies. You will act as a trusted advisor to local leaders while ensuring high-quality execution of key People & Culture processes.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Lead and deliver the local People & Culture agenda for GN Hearing in France and Italy, in alignment with business priorities, the global People & Culture strategy and the annual people cycle.
- Act as a trusted advisor and sparring partner to local leadership teams on organisational design, leadership, talent, performance, employee relations and change management.
- Support and drive organisational changes and transformation initiatives, ensuring clear communication, employee involvement and effective implementation.
- Ensure high-quality and compliant delivery across the employee lifecycle, including, performance management, employee development, compensation processes and offboarding.
- Manage employee relations matters and collaborate constructively with employee representatives, Works Councils, unions and relevant external partners in France and Italy.
- Ensure compliance with French and Italian employment law, collective agreements, internal policies and local employment requirements.
- Maintain and update local employment documentation, policies and processes in line with legislative developments and GN requirements.
- Partner closely with global People & Culture Business Partners, Centres of Excellence and People Services teams to embed global processes and initiatives locally.
- Drive continuous improvement and appropriate standardisation of People & Culture processes, systems, tools and ways of working across France and Italy.
- Support initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, leadership capability, inclusion, culture and the overall employee experience.
- Use people data and local business insights to identify opportunities, support decision-making and translate priorities into clear actions together with local leadership teams.
We expect that you have:
- Broad and solid People & Culture experience from an international organisation, ideally within a commercial, healthcare, technology or consumer-oriented environment.
- Strong knowledge of French and Italian employment law, employee relations and collaboration with employee representatives.
- Experience supporting leaders through organisational change, transformation and workforce-related decisions.
- Experience across core people processes, including recruitment, performance management, talent management, compensation and employee development.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities across countries and locations while maintaining high quality, confidentiality and attention to detail.
- Experience with HR systems, preferably Workday or a similar platform.
- A continuous-improvement mindset and the ability to balance local business needs with global frameworks and ways of working.
- Strong stakeholder-management, communication and influencing skills.
- Professional fluency in French, Italian and English, written and spoken.
Who you are and what you bring:
You are an experienced, pragmatic and trusted People & Culture professional who thrives on working closely with the business in an international matrix organisation. Approachable, resilient and business-minded, you have a genuine interest in people and organisational development and can translate global frameworks into practical local solutions.
You are confident advising senior leaders on strategic people matters while remaining comfortable with hands-on operational activities. You build strong relationships, listen carefully and challenge constructively when needed. With sound judgement, empathy and a solution-oriented mindset, you navigate complex and sensitive situations effectively.
You bring ownership, curiosity and positive energy to your work. Most importantly, you are motivated by helping leaders and employees succeed and by creating an environment where people can do their best work.
