What you'll do...

Security and Access Control

• Controls access to the facility by verifying identification, issuing visitor badges, and maintaining accurate visitor logs.
• Maintains a visible and proactive presence to deter potential security threats and provide a sense of safety and security for associates, visitors, contractors, and business partners.
• Conducts regular security checks of associates, visitors, and vehicles entering or exiting the facility to help prevent theft and the unauthorized removal or introduction of items.
• Conducts security inspections of buildings, grounds, trailers, and other designated areas.
• Monitors inbound and outbound trailers entering and exiting the facility using designated computer applications and security systems.
• Identifies and reports unusual, suspicious, or unauthorized activity to appropriate management.
• Creates and issues new and replacement associate badges, as well as visitor badges.
• Maintains accurate and detailed security reports, incident logs, and documentation related to security incidents and activities.

Emergency Response and Safety

• Provides assistance and guidance to associates and visitors during emergencies and security-related situations, including evacuations, first aid situations, and directing individuals to designated safe areas.
• Promotes, monitors, and enforces safe work practices and a safe work environment.
• Monitors and tests alarm systems, fire systems, and fire suppression equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Adheres to all company safety procedures, policies, and guidelines.
• Uses required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Operates machinery and equipment safely and in accordance with established procedures.
• Immediately reports hazards, near misses, injuries, and accidents.
• Actively participates in required safety training and drills.
• Maintains clean and organized work areas to help prevent accidents and injuries.
• Contributes to the continuous improvement of safety procedures and protocols.
• Maintains awareness of surroundings to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.

• Successfully completes work assignments and prioritizes tasks by utilizing established policies, procedures, data, and available resources.

The hourly wage range for this position is $20.80 - $26.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
