Major Duties and Responsibilities
Teach a 4/4 course load each year at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels.
Be or become active in academic research in the computer science/engineering, cybersecurity, data science, quantum computing, artificial intelligence and/or related fields in collaboration with other faculty members and doctoral students.
Work with the school director and other faculty members to further develop our curriculum materials to meet the needs of the changing technology workforce.
Engage in the school’s growing grant and contract portfolio, including research, student scholarships and workforce development, with government and commercial clients.
Serve as a mentor/advisor for students in the various programs, using your academic and work experience to prepare and guide students into a worthwhile technology career in government, academia, or industry.
Be engaged in a variety of enrollment and promotion activities, professional events, and career development functions for the school.
Participate in the university community, attending all required meetings such as Faculty Council, school meetings, department meetings, and university events such as convocation, as well as engaging in the university’s professional development activities.
Have a presence on campus and maintain office hours to support students in the programs.
Other Duties and Assignments:
Assuming professional and educational responsibilities as requested by the College Dean or the School Director.
Engaging in the technology field including using your expertise to work with the university community, other research institutions, the business and government organizations and professional bodies.
Job Requirements
Education
Doctorate in computer science, computer engineering, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, mathematics, statistics, information technology or related field, or one year from completion.
Experience
At least 5 years professional experience in the technology workplace, either in government or industry.
Highly effective teacher (full or part-time) who can demonstrate excellent educational leadership and organizational skills.
Part-time higher education teaching experience as an adjunct.

The anticipated salary for this position is $75,000.
