As a MercerWell Health & Benefits Consultant, you will help employers strengthen workforce health and wellbeing outcomes by designing, evaluating, and implementing wellbeing and health management strategies, and by supporting vendor and solution selection (wellbeing platforms and point solutions). You will serve as a day-to-day client lead and trusted advisor, using data, market insights, and Mercer tools to build practical, multi-year wellbeing roadmaps and deliver measurable results.
We will count on you to:
Manage complex client engagements including overall service delivery, wellbeing strategy, program assessment/inventory, benchmarking, and market landscape reviews of programs (carrier and direct partners).
Analyze and synthesize vendor/carrier experience and reporting data (e.g., prevalence, utilization, outcomes) to identify opportunities and shape recommendations.
Develop 1–3 year strategic wellbeing/clinical roadmaps, including prioritization of initiatives and practical implementation considerations.
Lead and/or support vendor RFPs and procurement for wellbeing solutions and point solutions, including vendor marketplace overviews and finalist support.
Provide ongoing consultative support, including access to specialist guidance for ad-hoc questions and issue resolution.
Communicate Mercer’s point of view on relevant wellbeing and health management trends and translate them into actionable strategies for clients.
Be accountable for project success (scope, budget, timeliness, quality) and contribute to account growth and new business opportunities.
Thrive and be motivated by an environment that embraces AI and technology-enabled tools.
What you need to have:
BA/BS degree or advanced degree, psychology, social work, public health or related field preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience identifying, designing, recommending, and implementing innovative solutions in the health & benefits / wellbeing space.
Strong client-facing experience in a consulting capacity, including leading meetings and influencing senior stakeholders.
Experience using data and insights to inform strategy and recommendations (e.g., program performance/utilization/outcomes).
What makes you stand out:
Experience leading wellbeing strategy work and supporting wellbeing/point-solution RFPs and vendor evaluations.
Strong sales and marketing skills, including the ability to create demand for new products/services and grow client relationships.
Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to simplify complex findings into clear executive-ready guidance.
Why join our team:
We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work, and supportive leaders.
We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have an impact for colleagues, clients, and communities.
