Overview
A warm, loving family in the Riverdale neighborhood of the Bronx, NY is seeking an experienced, dependable, and engaging part-time afternoon nanny to care for their three daughters, ages 1, 4, and 5. This is the family's first time hiring a nanny, and they are looking for someone who will become a trusted, long-term part of their family's support system.
The ideal candidate is confident caring for multiple children of different ages, adaptable, and comfortable taking a flexible, child-centered approach. The family values a caregiver who is easygoing, experienced, and able to recognize that each child has unique needs and responds thoughtfully to each one.
The schedule will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00am to 7:00pm. There is some flexibility for alternate days for the right candidate.
This position is open to local candidates within a reasonable commuting distance. The family is interviewing now for a start date after Labor Day.

Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to:
11:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
- Light housekeeping related to the children
- Children's laundry
- Meal preparation for the children
- General organization and tidying
Afternoon & Evening
- Transport children from school and daycare using the family-provided car. School pickup at approximately 3:10 p.m. for the 4- and 5-year-old children
- Daycare pickup at approximately 5:30 p.m. for the baby, about a 15-minute walk or 5-minute drive
- Prepare and serve dinner for the children
- Help with bath and bedtime routines until a parent arrives home, typically between 6:30 and 7:00 p.m.
- Always ensure the safety and well-being of the children
- Provide attentive, age-appropriate care and engagement
- Update parents on the day’s happenings and ensure a smooth evening transition
- Collaboratively work with parents and provide thoughtful suggestions
- Incorporate educational play

Requirements
- Prior experience in a similar role
- Pet-friendly. The family has a shepherd-mix dog
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Comfortable driving children
- Ability to adhere to some dietary restrictions (semi-kosher)
- CPR certified
- Legal to work in the U.S.
Salary and Benefits
The family is offering $40/hr.
