Description
On behalf of our client, Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit a Technical Specialist.
Our client is a leading provider of technology-driven solutions, specializing in the installation, maintenance, and support of cash handling equipment, queuing management systems, reverse vending machines, and monitoring solutions for commercial and industrial clients. Based in Malta and reporting directly to the Head of Operations - Technical Division, the selected Technical Specialist will be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining automated equipment and systems. The role combines hands-on technical work with software and hardware troubleshooting, system monitoring, and client support. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of customer systems while delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain cash handling equipment and queuing management systems.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to clients.
- Monitor system performance and perform preventative maintenance.
- Assist with software configurations, integrations, and troubleshooting.
- Support network and cloud-connected solutions.
- Maintain accurate service reports and technical documentation.
- Participate in an on-call support rota when required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in hardware installation, servicing, or technical maintenance, ideally involving automated systems.
- Strong IT and software troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with networking concepts, cloud-based services, and system interfaces.
- Basic understanding of APIs, RESTful services, HTTP methods, and status codes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Good communication skills in English and a customer-oriented approach.
- Flexibility to provide after-hours or standby support when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a technical support environment.
- Basic knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as Python, SQL, or PowerShell.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in Maltese.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
