Production Worker

Description

 Job Title : Production Worker Plant: Fort Wayne – High Point – Schertz Reports to: Shift Supervisor Dept: Operations Skills ? Assist in measurement, weighing and count of finished materials to product specification ? Ensure product is packed correctly, the correct tubes and bags are used, and bags are labeled properly. ? Attention to detail ? Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos ? Ability to perform basic math skills such as add/subtract/multiple and divide ? Ability to read tape measure ? Basic data entry skills   

Requirements/KPI‘s ? Must be able to move or transport at least 50 pounds. ? Ability to work 12 hours shifts and weekends when business warrants. ? Must have your own transportation ? No attendance issues ? Ability to bend, crouch or position self in between machines and production lines ? Ensure overall quality of product (Coning/telescoping, slitting, Metal detection etc.)

Safety Conscious Production Worker Job Description Primary Responsibilities: The Production Worker is primarily responsible for following all procedures and work instructions to help achieve optimal productivity, quality, and safety assuring internal and external customer satisfaction. This position will help ensure product is stacked or rolled properly, finished goods are properly bagged, labeled and stored, and that all waste is disposed of in the assigned area. The position incumbent will perform work equal or lower classification, as required or directed, and perform work of high classification for training purposes, or as warranted by emergency circumstances. 

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Must have your own transportation.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to perform basic math skills such as add/subtract/multiply/divide.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout entire shift.
• Ability to bend, crouch, or position self to maneuver in between machinery and production lines.
• Must be able to move or transport 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, and work in tight spaces in and around machinery.
• Ability to work 12 hour shifts every other weekend when business warrants 24/7 operation.
