Overview
The Manager of Laboratory Medicine at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center manages the Clinical Pathology (CP), Anatomic Pathology (AP), and Phlebotomy sections in the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine. They facilitate the integration and management of daily functions within assigned areas and act as an institutional resource to medical staff, ensuring optimal workflow and client satisfaction. They provide management support for the section supervisors in the daily operations of assigned areas. They also coordinate long-term planning activities from clinical and operational perspectives and work to integrate the institutional perspective into local operating systems.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, MT (ASCP) or equivalent in basic sciences education and clinical lab experience with 5 years of progressively higher level management/supervisory experience required.
- Master's in Business administration or health administration or related clinical science field preferred.
Required Licensure/Certifications
- Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) OR Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) OR Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT - AMT)
