Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Building Patrol in Gaithersburg, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and patients. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related needs with professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a healthcare and research location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and escalating concerns when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, laboratories, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and emergency responders while supporting a professional and welcoming environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
