Overview

We’re Kingfisher, A team made up of over 74,000 passionate people who bring Kingfisher - and all our other brands: B&Q, Screwfix, Brico Depot, Castorama and Koctas to life. Guided by our purpose Better Homes. Better Lives. For Everyone. We believe a better world starts with better homes, and we work every day to make that a reality. Join us and help shape the future of home improvement.

Join Kingfisher as an Internal Communications Executive and play a key role in keeping our Group Functions colleagues informed, connected and inspired. Working across a range of channels, you'll create engaging content, support colleague events, manage internal communications campaigns and provide expert advice to stakeholders. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive communicator who enjoys building relationships, telling compelling stories and using insight and data to continuously improve the colleague experience.

What's the job?

  • Create, manage and optimise engaging content across Kingfisher's internal communication channels, including the intranet, newsletters, Viva Engage and digital screens, ensuring content is timely, relevant, accessible and aligned to business priorities and brand guidelines.

  • Deliver clear and impactful communications that keep colleagues informed and connected, covering company announcements, strategic updates, policy and process changes, people news, and all-colleague communications through our email publishing platform.

  • Plan and support colleague engagement events, including town halls and Q&As, overseeing content creation, event logistics, stakeholder and delegate communications, speaker support and post-event evaluation.

  • Build strong relationships across Kingfisher and work closely with Corporate Affairs and banner communications teams to identify and share compelling stories, maintain an integrated communications plan, and promote internal communications best practice.

  • Act as a trusted communications advisor to stakeholders, providing guidance on messaging, channel selection, tone of voice, timing and communication effectiveness, while managing and prioritising requests through the communications inbox.

  • Measure and continuously improve communication effectiveness by monitoring channel performance, analysing engagement data, leading monthly reviews, and keeping up to date with industry trends and digital innovations to enhance the colleague experience.

What you'll bring

  • Excellent written communication skills, with strong copywriting, editing and proofreading capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to tailor content for different audiences and channels.

  • Ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging and accessible communications that resonate with colleagues.

  • Experience creating and publishing content across a range of digital channels, including written, visual and video formats.

  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to influence, collaborate and build effective partnerships at all levels.

  • Analytical, creative and proactive approach, using data and reporting tools to measure effectiveness, identify opportunities for improvement and drive engagement.

  • Previous experience in an internal communications, content or digital channels role, with proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (including SharePoint, Teams and Viva Engage) and familiarity with design and video editing platforms such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop or Premiere Pro.
