Here is a breakdown of what you’ll be doing:
Report directly to the Head of Marketing, PR & Events for NET-A-PORTER and MR PORTER.
Provide day-to-day tactical support to the PR & Events team across designer- and product-related activities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with media, stylists, fashion bloggers, and influencers across APAC, including Hong Kong, Australia, Singapore, Korea, and Taiwan.
Develop creative approaches to communicate brand stories to media, including pitching feature ideas and news stories.
Brainstorm and develop innovative themes, concepts, and experiences for PR and client events.
Plan and execute PR and client events, including product launches, press days, style suites, and local activations, working closely with Global PR & Events, Personal Shopping, and Client Relations teams.
Manage project timelines and coordinate with vendors to produce event materials, including invitations and promotional content.
Oversee event logistics, including catering, transportation, equipment rentals, and event set-up, ensuring seamless execution.
Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback, assess event performance, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Manage all press loan call-ins and image requests.
Oversee APAC database management, including press lists, venues, vendors, and PR contacts.
Monitor competitor activity across APAC markets and share relevant updates with the team.
Support the Marketing team with reporting and liaise with internal channel stakeholders as needed.
Research industry insights and trends, and maintain the competitor activity tracker.
Monitor onsite promotional assets, troubleshoot bugs, review designer landing pages, and flag price discrepancies.
Assist with the production of local marketing events.
Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis for APAC Marketing Managers.
Attend marketing meetings and brainstorms, taking and circulating minutes and tracking follow-up actions.
Provide administrative support to APAC Marketing Managers across day-to-day marketing operations.
The type of person we are looking for:
Graduate (or equivalent) with proven PR & Event experience in a luxury fashion environment
Solid intern/ summer job experience in marketing, ideally gained in a luxury and/or online retail environment
Demonstrate understanding of the luxury fashion industry
Pro-active and able to show initiative/ ideas to constantly promote the NET-A-PORTER offerings
Proven commercial experience of working in a fast-paced environment
Creative and strategic thinker
A dynamic individual who is savvy, connected, ideas driven and articulate with ability to problem solve and interpret fashion trends
Discreet, professional and well-spoken
Excellent work ethos and good timekeeping
Extremely well-organised, methodical and efficient, with a good dose of common sense and initiative
A detail-oriented, confident person as well as a proactive team player with excellent communications and interpersonal skill, who can be pro-active and personable with media and bloggers alike
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and strong MS Word skills; working knowledge of PowerPoint
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Korean is considered an advantage
