Overview
Assists the clinical pharmacists in providing an accurate and timely medication distribution system.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
License: Must be registered with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician within 30 days of hire date, and registration must be in good standing “active”. Employees must obtain national certification with PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) or ExCPT (Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians) within one year of hire date. In the case of initial certification by examination, a paper result from the PTCB or ExCPT examination of “pass” will be considered active status for 30 days.
Additional Skills/Abilities: Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Proficiency in basic math applications and analyses required.
