Role Description
What you'll do: Senior Human Resources Associate - Payroll in the Enterprise will report to the Payroll Specialist and will work on
- Collection of inputs from various sources for payroll processing.
- Ensuring the payroll is produced accurately, timely, and securely.
- Validation and finalization of monthly salary and arrears as per C.T.C., statutory deductions, loans, and advances.
- Analyzing and resolving payroll-related queries and discrepancies from employees in a timely and professional manner.
- Addressing payroll-related queries and discrepancies from employees.
- Preparing and keeping records of Challans and various reports like PF, ESIC, P. Tax, Bonus, and Gratuity.
- Handling PF queries from employees and having good knowledge of PF transfers and withdrawals.
- Coordinating with multiple vendors.
- Performing accounting journal entries and basic account analysis in SAP systems.
- Assisting in various audits and management reports.
- Ensure accurate payroll journal entries and reconciliation of payroll accounts in coordination with the Finance/Accounting team.
- Review and validate payroll-related GL postings, cost center allocations, and accruals on a monthly basis.
- Prepare payroll accounting schedules, variance analysis, and support month-end close activities.
- Collaborate with internal auditors and external partners to support payroll-related audits and compliance checks.
- Maintain accurate records of payroll liabilities (e.g., TDS, PF, ESIC, gratuity) and coordinate timely statutory payments and filings.
What you’ll bring:
- B.Com/MCom/MBA (Finance) with a minimum of 4 years of payroll processing experience.
- Proven experience in payroll processing and India Payroll Compliances.
- Experience working with regional payroll vendors and tools.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel).
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to establish relationships with stakeholders and vendors to resolve employee queries.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling numerical data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytic and critical thinking abilities.

- Ability to effectively organize and interpret large quantities of information.
- Good understanding of India Payroll compliances, including payment and returns of PF, Professional Tax, LWF, and Income Tax. Experience in working with external vendors.
