Entry level individual contributor position where the incumbents key responsibilities may include operational, service, administrative, technical support, basic level reporting, call center support and reviewing/processing transactions in Operations or Support. Possesses communication, problem solving and general PC skills. Has the responsibility to ensure quality service and effective support for the assigned functions, internal and/or external business partners and customers by following established procedures. Receives general guidance and direction. Incumbents would be Graduates / Post Graduates with 0-18 months of work experience.
Process Overview
Global Markets Operations & Middle Office provides operations support to the Global Markets Business of Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Key Business activities include back office and middle office operations related to securities, derivatives, futures, options, currencies (FX) and commodities. Key functions include Trade Processing & settlement, Inventory Management, Cash Management, Asset Services, Collateral Management, Reconciliation, and Client & Product Data.
Job Description
GDFX Static Data (Global Delivery Foreign Exchange) process is responsible for adding and maintaining client information with respect to settling and confirming transactions. This includes adding and updating client bank details, loading/updating Standard Settlement instructions for all trading counterparties of Bank of America Merrill Lynch, creation of Trading Identifiers for the clients across all regions.
Responsibilities
Understanding of Reference Data Services with respect to Foreign Exchange & Derivatives business
Capability to review Standard Settlement Instructions and confirm payments are complete
Ability to drive processing high volume client requests meets daily deadlines. Must have a team player perspective & be able to communicate confidently.
To drive the development, implementation and regular review of policies and procedures on process compliance risks and issues that are material to the Business, including Anti-money Laundering, Know Your Customer (KYC) and Suitability ensure adequate staff awareness and training.
Effectively address the business issues - Generate new opportunities that will help them stay ahead in the future.
The SSI set-ups and maintenance: Setting up the requested as per database and confirm to requestor that the request is completed within process Turn Around Time
Completed technology enhancement certifications focused on Artificial Intelligence, Automation, and Digital Innovation to drive operational excellence and productivity improvements.
To create improvements in business processes by contributing ideas and implementing agreed changes into the team's day-to-day operations.
Strong exposure to Microsoft 365 and Copilot, with the ability to leverage AI-powered tools to enhance day-to-day BAU operations, improve efficiency, and drive process optimization.
Proven ability to troubleshoot operational breaks by understanding upstream and downstream system architecture, identifying root causes, and implementing sustainable solutions. Working knowledge of automation and programming tools such as VBA, Python, Alteryx, or similar technologies is preferred.
Understanding of Business Continuity Management
To be flexible in their attitude and approach; have a strong desire to learn from day-to-day scenarios.
Good Communication skills (spoken and written English)
Requirements
Education: Graduate in finance, commerce, Master’s in business administration (MBA) - Finance
Certifications If Any - Certified in AI and Data Analytics
Experience Range: 0 to 3 Years
