Description
We are seeking a full-time, remote Deltek Vantagepoint Implementation Analyst with specialized expertise in data migration and system integration. In this role, you will migrate historical financial, project, and CRM data from legacy systems into our Deltek Vantagepoint ERP environment. You will serve as the primary subject matter expert utilizing the Vantagepoint Data Import Utility, ensuring data integrity, minimal operational downtime, and optimal system configuration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Migration Execution: Develop and deliver end-to-end data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) pipelines from legacy environments into Deltek Vantagepoint.
- Data Import Utility Management: Own the configuration, mapping, and execution of data loads using the native Vantagepoint Data Import Utility.
- Data Cleansing & Validation: Audit, clean, and reconcile complex relational datasets. Develop validation scripts to verify post-migration financial balances and project histories.
- System Optimization: Map legacy system workflows to optimal Vantagepoint architectures, maintaining data governance and security controls.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve reconciliation issues, data truncation errors, mapping failures, orphaned data, and schema mismatches during staging and production runs.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:
- Deltek Expertise: 2+ years of direct experience with Deltek Vantagepoint (or advanced Deltek Vision) backend architecture and data schemas is REQUIRED.
- Technical Toolkit: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server Management (SSMS, Profiler, SSRS), Excel, ODBC, and reading & writing complex SQL scripts.
- Migration Track Record: Proven experience executing and delivering at least one full-lifecycle ERP data migration using the Vantagepoint/Vision Data Import Utility.
- Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of project-based accounting, work breakdown structures (WBS), billing, revenue, accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP).
- Remote Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to execute and deliver large-scale data projects independently in a fully remote environment with strong communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- 1+ years of experience with Axium, Sage or QuickBooks datasets and/or application/reporting
- 1+ years of direct experience report writing (design, development & publishing) with Business Intelligence Design Studio (BIDS)
