Nursing Assistant – Full Time - Float Pool
At New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist, certified nursing assistants thrive at the bedside as invaluable care providers. Together, we serve as critical points of contact for patients and their families. Be a true partner with Nurses, Technicians and more. Monitor blood pressure and temperature of patients, while ensuring the delivery of meals and safe transport. So bring your smile to work. Infuse energy and hospitality into a patient's day. Provide comfort and caring as a certified nurse’s aide at NYP-keeping our fast-paced environments running smoothly.
Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care
Float to all units-in the hospital such as - Med-Surg- Critical Care-Psychiatry- Emergency Department or where needed.
We have Full Time positions available at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist located in Brooklyn, NY. Three weekend is required for the first 2 years of employment (every Saturday & Sunday).
We currently have the following shifts available:
Day Shift - 7:30AM-4:00PM
Evening Shift - 3:30PM - 12:00AM

Preferred Criteria
Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of experience as a nurse’s aide in a hospital
Required Criteria
High school diploma or GED
Certification from an approved, accredited Nurse Assistant training program or current
Enrollment in a BSN program & completion of at least 1 clinical rotation
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Basic computer skills

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
