The role

We are excited to invite a highly skilled Customer Development Enterprise Architect to join our dynamic Enterprise Architecture team. In this role, you will help shape the newly created Ice Cream Technology function—playing a key part in building a standalone, future-ready technology landscape for Unilever’s Ice Cream business.

You will define and drive the architectural vision across In-Home & Out of Home Customer Development, ensuring digital capabilities, data, and platforms align with business goals to unlock innovation and insights. Working closely with technology and business leaders, you will contribute to creating a strong, independent IT function for the new organization.

What you'll be responsible for

• Architecture Strategy: Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture blueprint for Customer Development.
• Application Standards and Governance: Enforce architectural governance and ensure compliance with enterprise standards and security protocols.
• Innovation: Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that enhance key commercial processes.
• Collaboration: Partner with Go To Market leaders to translate business strategies into scalable, future-ready technology solutions.
• Performance Optimization: Ensure CD applications deliver benefits and are optimized for performance.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all IH & OOH Customer Development application architecture.

We're looking for someone who

Skills and Experience Required:

We are looking for a candidate with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and at least 4 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, ideally within FMCG or innovation-led environments. The role requires a strong understanding of Customer Development processes such as Order to Cash, Distributor and Promotion Management, and Retail Execution, along with proficiency in architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF), modelling tools, and experience with CRM, DMS systems, and integration patterns. Strong communication, analytical thinking, and collaboration skills are essential. Relevant certifications in Enterprise Architecture, Agile frameworks, and Cloud or Integration technologies are highly desirable.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong Standards of Leadership (SOL) behaviours, including personal mastery with high standards and emotional intelligence, a passion for high performance with accountability for results, a deep focus on understanding consumer needs, and strong business acumen to drive sustainable growth by effectively partnering across the organization.
