What that means day-to-day:
1. Contractor Accreditation & Guidance: Drawing on your seasoned experience, you will serve as a subject matter expert driving the accreditation and H&S Program Review process. You will evaluate contractor applications, assess safety documentation against regulatory standards, and guide contractors along their path to compliance.
2. Transforming Compliance Through Technology: You will play a pivotal role in bringing technology to compliance. Beyond day-to-day reviews, you will collaborate across Product and Operations teams, applying your domain expertise to evolve our systems, refine workflows, and enhance our internal knowledge base to advance our compliance technology platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Contractor Compliance & Accreditation Assessment
• Evaluate contractor applications, H&S program documentation, and supporting evidence in alignment with standard procedures across Veriforce systems.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert to help evolve our systems and enhance our knowledge base.
• Conduct Quality Assurance of assessment results and maintain proper evidence handling and recordkeeping.
• Assist in developing and refining health and safety assessment criteria, accreditation
• standards, and necessary documentation standards.
• Collate data and produce management reports to analyze program results, identify compliance trends, gaps, and drive operational improvements.
• Adhere strictly to operational processes, standard requirements, and quality assurance protocols.
Contractor Relationship & Customer Management
• Provide guidance to contractors via phone and email, undertaking scheduled follow-up calls to build positive, professional relationships while representing Veriforce's mission and values.
• Resolve contractor issues by clarifying complaints, identifying root causes, explaining appropriate solutions, and ensuring full follow-through.
Performance Metrics
• Regulatory & Program Compliance: Accurately apply safety regulations and program standards across all assessments.
• Timeliness: Process contractor applications and program reviews efficiently to meet turnaround goals and quarterly metrics set by the Accreditation Manager.
• Data Integrity: Precisely capture, record, and maintain contractor information within internal systems.
• Professional Standards: Demonstrate integrity, client/contractor confidentiality, adherence to QA processes, and a supportive, collaborative approach.
What you’ll need to be successful:
Essential:
• Education: Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety (Degree, Diploma, or Certificate).
• Experience: 3+ years in an Occupational Health & Safety role, with working field experience and proven expertise evaluating safety management systems and compliance standards.
• Language Skills: Bilingual in English and French (written and spoken).
• Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM/ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics.
• Core Competencies: Detail-oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Desirable:
• Industry Expertise: Experience in the Oil & Gas industry is a strong asset.
