Job Description
As a Security Officer Mobile Access Control Driver in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Security Officer at an automotive location, you will conduct routine vehicle patrols, monitor assigned areas, control access, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. - Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of automotive manufacturing, warehouse, parking, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points, visitor activity, and vehicle traffic in accordance with site policies; verify credentials and direct individuals to appropriate locations.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
- Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
