Your mission
The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing all construction activities for a permanent installation project in Riyadh. The role ensures the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards while coordinating with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and client representatives.
The Construction Manager will lead site-based activities from planning and mobilisation through installation, related operations, and demobilisation phases.
This is a temporary freelance role for the below-mentioned duration. Candidates must have all required documentation, permits and/or visas in place to legally work in Saudi Arabia for the duration of the assignment.
Duration: ASAP-end of May 2027.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Delivery
- Manage all construction and site installation activities fortheassigned project.
- Develop and oversee construction schedules in line with overall project timelines.
- Coordinate labour, equipment, subcontractors, and material requirements.
- Ensure all works are delivered according to project specifications and drawings.
- Monitor progress and implement corrective actionswhererequiredtomaintainprogramme milestones.
- Support value engineering initiatives andidentifyefficiencies in delivery.
Site Management
- Lead day-to-day site operations during build-up and dismantle periods.
- Ensure effective supervision of contractors, suppliers, and freelance crews.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify quality and compliance standards.
- Maintainaccuratesite records, reports, and progress updates.
- Manage sitelogistics, access control, storage, and installation sequencing.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Promote and enforce a strong health and safety culture across all project activities.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, permits, venue requirements, and company HSE policies.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and risk assessments.
- Review and approve method statements and construction documentation.
- Investigate and report incidents, near misses, and safety concerns.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary construction point of contact for project stakeholders.
- Coordinate with project managers, production teams, designers, venue representatives, and clients.
- Attend project meetings and provide construction progress updates.
- Resolve site-related issues quickly and professionally.
Budget & Commercial Oversight
- Monitor construction-related budgets and labour costs.
- Review supplier and subcontractor performance.
- Supportprocurement planning and resource allocation.
- Support change management and variation tracking processes.
Your profile
- Minimum 5-7 years' experience in construction management/civil engineeringwith exposure to projectsinthe Middle East.
- Excellent understanding of construction methodologies and site management practices.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction documentation.
- Experience managing subcontractors,freelanceandlabour teams.
- Ideally, you are already based in Saudi Arabia and speak fluent Arabic.
