Description
## What you’ll do:
Eaton announced, on January 26, 2026, the intent to separate its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company. We expect to complete the separation by the end of the first quarter of 2027. As a standalone company, the Mobility business will be more focused and agile, creating exciting opportunities for employees to grow, innovate, and help shape the future of mobility. The separation reflects strong confidence in the Mobility team and positions the new company as an employer of choice in the automotive and commercial vehicle industry.
The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the spinoff closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.
A motivated Structural Modeling and Simulation Engineer with 0–2 years of experience in finite element modeling, structural analysis, and multi-disciplinary CAE simulations. Proficient in ANSYS for linear, non-linear, and modal analysis, with hands-on exposure to vibration, durability, and multi-body dynamics (MBD) simulations. Experienced in developing accurate FE models, interpreting simulation results, and supporting design validation and optimization. Possesses strong fundamentals in structural mechanics, material behavior, and dynamic systems, with the ability to collaborate effectively with design and test teams to deliver robust, simulation-driven engineering solutions.
The key responsibilities would include of :
Develop and maintain finite element (FE) models in tools such as ANSYS, including geometry cleanup, idealization, meshing, and boundary condition setup.
Perform structural analyses (linear static, modal, vibration, and basic non‑linear) to evaluate strength, stiffness, deformation, and dynamic behavior.
Apply FE meshing fundamentals (element selection, mesh quality, and convergence checks) to ensure reliable and accurate simulation results.
Support fatigue and durability analysis using fundamental S–N concepts, load cycles, and stress post‑processing for life assessment.
Contribute to Multi‑Body Dynamics (MBD) and load transfer activities by supporting basic mechanism modeling, joints, constraints, and coupling with FE models.
Interpret and validate results using structural engineering and theory of machines fundamentals, including load paths, stresses, safety factors, and failure modes.
Provide CAE feedback to design teams and support design iterations to improve structural performance, durability, and NVH.
Prepare clear technical reports and communicate results effectively, demonstrating critical thinking, accountability, and ownership of simulation tasks.
