About the Role

Serve as a key leader in managing and expanding the bank's agricultural loan and deposit portfolio. Responsible for driving significant business growth by developing and executing strategic plans to attract new clients and achieve ambitious annual growth targets. Build and maintains strong relationships with high-value clients, understands their complex financial needs, and provides innovative solutions to support their agricultural ventures.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage a substantial agricultural loan and deposit portfolio, ensuring its growth and profitability. Build and maintain strong relationships with high-value clients, understanding their complex financial needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Understand and adhere to financial lending guidelines to the ensure the company complies with regulations and good financial practice.
  • Lead market analysis to identify opportunities and trends within the agricultural sector, ensuring the bank's services are aligned with evolving needs. Possessing a thorough understanding of credit and the intricate challenges involved in credit analysis. Ensure problem loans are identified early and appropriate measures are taken to mitigate risks. Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
  • Identify and address non-compliance issues, ensuring all activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Actively solicit new business opportunities to expand the bank's client base and enhance its market presence. Develop and execute strategic plans to attract new clients and achieve ambitious annual growth targets.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to express ideas, request actions, and formulate plans.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with clients and stakeholders and maintain and solidify business relationships in effective manner to meet growth goals on an annual basis.
  • Ability to negotiate terms and conditions with clients to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Agribusiness, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in agricultural lending or commercial banking.
  • Experience working directly with farmers, ranchers, or agribusiness clients, preferred.
