Description
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
- Public Accounting (Audit) / Manufacturing background
- Experience working with large ERP systems; JD Edwards experience is a plus
- Solid cost accounting experience with extensive/complex product lines
- CPA, MBA, MACC - all a plus
- Proven track record of leading and influencing others
Key Responsibilities:
- This position requires working onsite in the Villa Rica 1 facility.
- Proactively manage plant accounting functions, including oversight of accounting personnel, inventory valuations, manufacturing cost accounting, reporting/analysis, and forecasting/budgeting
- Protect plant assets through the development and monitoring of internal controls
- Oversee the development and maintenance of inventory and operational performance standards
- Manage the monthly financial closing process, preparation and review of financial statements, and analysis of variances vs. forecast, standard, and budget
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, inventories, and customer/product profitability reporting
- Provide financial analysis to support business decisions regarding investments in capital equipment and plant process improvements
- Exhibit strong working knowledge of financial concepts, operational systems, and analytical tools
- Demonstrate strong leadership presence in production and business decision-making, along with the ability to positively influence and interpret operational results
- Effectively communicate and interact with all levels and functions of the organization
