Pay Range:
$20.80 - $31.20Major Responsibilities:
Clinician support
Review client registrations for completeness. Check insurance eligibility and benefits as necessary. Add insurance coverage and schedule registration updates in six-month intervals.
Handle managed care authorizations by performing non-clinical functions including entering and maintaining authorizations in data management software and hard copy charts. Manage OTR requests, copy material, fax, tract receipt and return.
Perform data entry for group billing.
Audit batch handling error logs, scheduled/show appointments and intake documentation for designated clinicians. Provides feedback to clinicians and program managers.
Ensure that all open clinical transactions are cleared by the end of the month.
Create clinical transactions for treatment plan reviews at time of intake.
Maintain AR for all patient fees. Provide feedback to designated clinicians.
Reply to requests for medical records
Photocopy ADR documentation when requested.
Pull closed charts as requested. File any other documentation in chart
Schedule:

Registration of patients at initial appointment:
Collect insurance and demographic data.
Explain Center policies regarding fee-setting procedures, confidentiality and patients rights.
Establish fees using Center policies and guidelines.
Explain third party billing procedures to patients and obtains necessary documentation to follow through on third party billing procedures
Communication and Greetings:
Greets and responds to requests from patients who approach the front desk for information, appointments, etc.
Greets and responds to requests from patients and collateral’s who call on the telephone.
Schedules appointments for patients.
Collects fees for services rendered and issues receipts to patients.
Contacts clinical staff, psychiatrists or managers as needed, or, requested.
Professional Development:
Attends scheduled staff meetings with supervisor and manager.
Attends in-service training as scheduled by supervisor or manager.
Education/Experience Required:
2 years clerical experience High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Basic PC skills Excellent communication skills
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to work evenings and Saturdays. Ability to work under stressful conditions and in difficult situations Lightweight lifting, bending, stooping or sitting in a confined position. Ability to work with a keyboard.
