Description

Position Summary

The VP of Product Management for Integrated Optics (IO) owns the product management and marketing charter for GF's optical products portfolio, spanning optical engine, advanced optical packaging, and adjacent integrated optical technologies. This leader defines and drives the product roadmap, market and customer strategy, and business case for IO, partnering closely with customer/account teams, end-market teams, product development, and program management to translate market opportunity into a coherent technology and product plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end product management strategy for the Integrated Optical portfolio, including roadmap definition, market segmentation, and business case development.

  • Lead product marketing and positioning for IO, translating technical capability (silicon photonics, fiber connect, optical packaging) into customer-facing value propositions.

  • Partner with development team leaders to align product requirements with technology and manufacturing capability.

  • Work with Customer, Ecosystem and Technical Program Management to ensure customer and ecosystem partner needs are reflected in the product roadmap.

  • Build and lead a product management team, including hiring into open roles as the function scales.

  • Represent the IO product strategy to executive leadership, including the SVP of Integrated Optical and the broader IO leadership team.

  • Drive pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategy in coordination with sales and business development.

  • Contribute product-level input to workforce planning, investment prioritization, and strategic initiatives for the IO organization.

  • Establish product management processes, metrics, and governance where none currently exist.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field; MBA or advanced degree a plus.

  • 12+ years of experience in product management or product marketing within semiconductors, photonics, or related technology industries.

  • Demonstrated experience owning a product roadmap and P&L-relevant business case from concept through market launch.

  • Experience operating in a matrixed organization, influencing without direct authority across engineering, manufacturing, and business development functions.

  • Track record building or scaling a product management function or team.

  • Strong executive presence and communication skills, with experience presenting to SVP/VP-level stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience in silicon photonics, optical packaging, or optical communications products.

  • Experience working within a global semiconductor manufacturing environment (fab operations, NPI, or wafer product lines).

  • Familiarity with customer and ecosystem partnership models in optical or photonics markets.

Expected Salary Range

$236,000.00 - $410,000.00
