This senior leadership role is accountable for shaping and executing the Education and Training strategy across the Americas, strengthening education as a strategic growth and profitability driver for Customer Services. The position leads, challenges, and coaches the regional organization to expand customer and employee education, improve operational performance, and enable scalable, compliant, and innovative learning solutions across NAM and LAM. The role connects business strategy, portfolio development, infrastructure, digitalization, and field enablement to increase customer value, workforce competency, and profitable growth.

Scope:

Americas region, including NAM and LAM, covering customer and employee education, clinical and technical training, digital learning solutions, and SHS Imaging Business Areas.
 
Criteria

  • Business impact: Supports CS In Vivo Americas business volume of approximately USD 2.5 billion.
  • Operational scale: Oversees high-volume education delivery, including approximately 50,000 participant days per year.
  • Complexity: Manages complex product introductions, ramp-ups, field enablement programs, and advanced training events such as MAGNETOM Flow.
  • Strategic relevance: Directly contributes to SHS P&L performance through education-driven revenue, efficiency, customer satisfaction, and workforce readiness.
  • Regulatory relevance: Ensures compliant training records, legal and regulatory readiness for new services, and adherence to EHS-relevant policies and facility operations.
  • Regional reach: Covers education operations and stakeholders across the Americas countries.


Responsibilities and Mandate
 

  • Translate the global Education and Training strategy into a clear regional execution roadmap across business lines, zones, and countries.
  • Lead the planning, development, and delivery of employee education for approximately 600 Application Specialists and 1,500 Customer Service Engineers, delivering around 50,000 participant days per year with consistent quality.
  • Define and expand the regional Customer Education portfolio by leveraging Education Center infrastructure, equipment, clinical collaborations, and strategic partnerships.
  • Own regional capacity and infrastructure planning to ensure scalable, cost-effective, and future-ready education delivery.
  • Drive operational excellence, transparency, and performance management across the Education business, including customer satisfaction, financial performance, process quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted operations of HUB Americas training facilities and events.
  • Develop HUB and Spoke training center capabilities across the region to meet demand, optimize asset utilization, and improve cost efficiency.
  • Plan the strategic development of education locations across the Americas to meet evolving user demand and business priorities.
  • Ensure compliant, transparent operations across HUB and Spoke training centers, onsite education activities, and related documentation.
  • Embed EHS standards into all Education operations, facilities, and event execution.
  • Accelerate digitalization by scaling new learning technologies, blended training models, and data-enabled education solutions.
  • Shape and grow the Education Services portfolio to increase customer value, profitable revenue, digital adoption, and delivery efficiency.
  • Maximize synergies across departments, business lines, and locations by leveraging infrastructure, harmonizing processes, and optimizing resources.

  • ~60 employees 
  • Manager of managers, clinical and technical subject matter experts in our SHS portfolio. 
  • Direct budget responsibility of approximately USD 25 million.
  • ~60 Assets to manage (e.g. MRIs, CTs, etc).

  • Position Healthineers as a recognized leader in healthcare technology education across the Americas.
  • Drive profitable revenue growth through a differentiated Education Services portfolio and scalable delivery models.
  • Continuously deploy services, technologies, and operating models that improve learning impact, efficiency, and customer experience.
  • Ensure efficient, high-quality education delivery with measurable outcomes for customers and employees.
  • Ensure adequate capacity for training, competency development, and product introduction across zones and countries.
  • Develop and support regional go-to-market strategies for the Education Services portfolio.
  • Lead the design and development of effective customer and employee education programs aligned with business priorities and field needs.
  • Advance digital learning, data-driven education management, and state-of-the-art educational practices.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience 

  • BS/BA in a related discipline or equivalent experience (Engineering, Medical Technology, Clinical Education, etc.) 
  • 7+ years professional experience or equivalent with a background involving clinical and medical technology expertise.
  • Fluency in English a must, and in Spanish and Portuguese highly desirable. 
  • Strategic and business planning experience advantageous 
  • The job requires skills in the ability to influence, convince, embrace and drive change management. This includes leadership of direct reports, with the foresight to guide and motivate non-direct reports within a matrix organization. 
  • Since this job includes diverse countries and people with all different kind of cultural and regional background, experience of working with different cultures and working in multi-cultural teams is very important 
  • Solid understanding of HQ and Education services processes and their relationship to drive the Americas Business. 


Management methods, organizational capabilities, and motivational skills.

The base pay range for this position is:

$207,220 - $284,922

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
