Position Summary
The Product Manager develops and executes product strategies that drive profitable growth across Pulsafeeder's product portfolio. This role owns the product lifecycle from market assessment and competitive positioning through pricing, portfolio optimization, new product introduction, and end-of-life management. The Product Manager works closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Distributor Partners to increase market share, improve channel performance, and address volume challenges within key product lines.
The role serves as the voice of the market and customer, leveraging industry knowledge, competitive insights, and distributor relationships to identify growth opportunities and drive business results. Reporting to the Business Line Leader, this position plays a critical role in shaping the business's future direction and supporting strategic growth initiatives.
Essential Functions
Responsible for Diaphragm Pump, Peristaltic Pump, and Controller product lines manufactured at our Florida facility.
Develop and execute product line strategies that support revenue growth, margin expansion, and market share gains.
Own the full product lifecycle including product launches, portfolio optimization, enhancements, and product rationalization.
Analyze market trends, customer requirements, competitive activity, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities and business risks.
Lead initiatives to address declining volume trends within key product segments and implement strategies to improve market penetration.
Partner with distributor networks and channel partners to improve product adoption, increase sales effectiveness, and expand market coverage.
Develop pricing strategies and business cases that improve profitability while maintaining market competitiveness.
Create and maintain product roadmaps aligned with business objectives, customer needs, and technology trends.
Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to prioritize product development opportunities and support successful product launches.
Conduct competitive intelligence activities, including SWOT analyses, market assessments, competitor benchmarking, and win/loss evaluations.
Forecast product demand, revenue, and market opportunities to support annual operating plans and strategic decision-making.
Serve as the voice of the customer by gathering and translating customer and distributor feedback into actionable business initiatives.
Support Sales and Marketing through the development of product positioning, value propositions, training materials, and customer-facing content.
Communicate product strategy, market insights, and business performance updates to leadership and key stakeholders.
Lead cross-functional efforts to achieve product line objectives and deliver measurable business results.
Travel up to 25% to support customer visits, distributor meetings, trade shows, market research, and strategic initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field required. MBA preferred.
Minimum 5 years of product management experience within an industrial, engineered products, manufacturing, fluid handling, pumping, or related technical environment.
Demonstrated success managing product portfolios and driving revenue growth.
Experience working with distribution channels and indirect sales models required.
Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, pricing strategy, market segmentation, and commercialization processes.
Experience developing business cases and using market, financial, and customer data to drive decisions.
Knowledge of industrial pumps, fluid handling systems, water treatment equipment, or related technologies strongly preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong analytical capabilities with experience using forecasting, market analysis, and profitability models.
Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.

This position operates in a manufacturing office setting and involves regular use of standard office equipment.
