Job Purpose:
As Body Shop Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the body shop, ensuring that all repair and maintenance work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards. You will lead a small team of technicians, manage workflow, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of body shop technicians and support staff.
- Ensure all repair work is completed on time and meets quality standards.
- Manage workflow and prioritize repair jobs to maximize efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and completed work.
- Provide training and guidance to technicians to enhance their skills and performance.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Communicate with customers to provide updates on repair status and address any concerns.
- Order and manage inventory of parts and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and dealership policies.
Qualifications:
- City & Guilds Certificate in Automotive Engineering or equivalent qualification (e.g. A.S.E. Certification)
- Proven Five (5) years experience as a Body Shop Supervisor or similar role in the automotive industry.
- Minimum 5 years dealership experience or related industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of body shop operations, repair techniques, Insurance claims process and equipment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
- Proficient in using body shop management software and other relevant tools.
- Valid driver’s license for a minimum of two (2) years.
