The hourly range listed is an estimate. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:30AM - 6PM or completion of work (weekend hours may be required based on business needs)
What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health
Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.
Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.
Job Summary
The Senior Associate, Warehouse Operations applies broad knowledge to ensure the integrity, quality, and accuracy of the facility’s order fulfilment processes which can including but is not limited to inbound, domestic outbound, and international outbound activities. The Senior Associate executes the facility’s standard operating procedures (SOPs) and responds effectively to routine and complex planning and transportation issues.
Responsibilities
Support in planning and closing out all inbound, domestic outbound, and international outbound shipments.
Observe all safety precautions and regulations at all times in all areas where duties are performed. Responsible for reporting all safety hazards and potential unsafe working conditions.
Understanding of all current replenishment center policies and procedures.
Communicate with internal and external contacts to resolve issues.
Proactively identifies opportunities to improve operational processes. Provides input into operational excellence initiatives through Supervisor and Manager.
Serves as a resource to the operational departments and other team members. May assist in occasional warehouse audits by providing reporting and answering questions related to inbound and outbound shipments.
Qualifications
2-4 years of warehouse planning experience highly preferred
High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
Warehouse Management Systems (or similar) experience, preferred
What is expected of you and others at this level
Applies knowledge and company policies to complete a variety of tasks
Demonstrates a working knowledge of jobs outside area of responsibility
Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications
Works on assignments that are moderately difficult requiring judgment in resolving issues
May assist in recommendation of processes on new assignments
Adheres to all quality guidelines
Works with limited supervision
Work occasionally involves review of output by work lead or supervisor
May provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members
