Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Works closely with the Event Coordinators, Maintenance dept., Food and Beverage dept. and Building tenants to develop time lines, schedules and action plans for event set-up and services.
Have ability to understand Ice maintenance procedures including making Ice, removing Ice, adjusting temperature appropriately. Ability to operate Ice Resurface preferred.
Schedules and instructs the crews in the set-up, additions and changes, striking and tear down of Events. Makes changes in floor plans and layouts as needed. Makes frequent inspections to insure correct set-up. Schedules and oversees the changeover of the facility from one event to another.
Schedules, oversees and trains Event service staff in all aspects of show service. Responsible for delivering the highest level of service to all clients and events. Insures that client’s questions and concerns are resolved.
Responsible for cleaning, minor maintenance and proper storage of all operational event equipment and furniture including motorized equipment.
Schedules and oversees staff in all cleaning, custodial and housekeeping aspects. Responsible for maintaining Arena’s cleanliness in a first class manner.
Develops and implements training and orientation of new employees, assist with continuing education and training sessions for existing employees, monitors employees progress and performs employee evaluations.
Responsible for all consumable supplies including purchasing, inventory controls, determining usage needs and product selection. Keeps and maintains MSDS sheets in accordance with OSHA standards

Education and/or Experience
Three (3) years of operational management/supervision within a public assembly facility,
Graduation from an accredited University;
A good knowledge of tools, materials, and event equipment used in event production; skill in the techniques of handling the tools and event equipment used in a variety of events and shows. Ice maintenance knowledge preferred.
