Facilities/ EHS Engineer

Our SCM Center of Excellence in Santo Domingo is currently seeking a Facilities/ EHS Engineer. We're looking for talented professionals who are passionate about supply chain, innovation, and operational excellence to join our dynamic team.

## What you’ll do:

Job Summary:

The Facilities Engineer supports the COE operation, maintenance, and improvement of facility systems and infrastructure.

This role provides technical support, coordinates maintenance and contractor activities, assists with facility projects and helps ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements to support efficient site operations.

## Job Responsibilities:

Facility

1\. Responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of company facilities through the management of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for facility equipment and infrastructure.

2\. Oversees facility-related projects and maintenance activities to support business continuity and operational excellence.

3\. Works closely with operations, maintenance teams, contractors, and leadership to maintain facility performance, reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.

4\. Oversee all maintenance work orders and their execution, providing periodic performance and completion reports.

5\. Coordinate and manage operational services, including: Security management (INTERCOM), waste management, water and energy supply, cleaning services (PRIME), landscaping, utilities maintenance, lighting, HVAC systems, and overall interior and exterior building conditions.

6\. Support the implementation and compliance with AXA XL risk management requirements.

7\. Support and coordinate the transportation and logistics of items entering and leaving the facility, ensuring compliance with established policies, regulations, and company standards.

8\. Identify, justify, and support capital expenditure requests and implementation projects related to common areas, facility equipment, and leasehold improvements.

Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)

1\. Support the organization's EHS programs, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, corporate policies, and internal safety standards.

2\. Manages Tier I and Tier II contractors, ensuring all work is performed safely, and in compliance with quality, regulatory, and company requirements. Oversees contractor qualification and onboarding processes, ensuring contractors meet company standards and compliance requirements.

3\. Administer and maintain the Contractor Management Program, including contractor qualification, evaluation, performance monitoring, and verification of EHS compliance prior to the start of work.Manage contractor onboarding requirements, including training, access authorization, badge issuance, and compliance with site security and operational requirements.

4\. Support and ensure compliance with MESH requirements, achieving target maturity levels in alignment with corporate guidelines, the Enhesa Scorecard, ISO 14001 standards, and applicable legal requirements.

5\. Support the implementation of site-level and workstation risk assessments, recommending corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

6\. Promote a proactive safety culture and lead or support EHS training programs, including the 10 Priority Elements.

7\. Support EHS Committees through meeting facilitation, action plan development, and follow-up activities.

Security

1\. Support the implementation and maintenance of Eaton Global Security Standards, including the management and oversight of building access control systems and CCTV systems throughout all facility floors.

2\. Collaborates with leadership, contractors, and stakeholders to safeguard company assets, support operational continuity, and maintain compliance with organizational standards.

3\. Support the implementation and maintenance of Eaton Global Security Standards, including access control systems, visitor management processes, and security camera monitoring across all facility floors.

## Qualifications:

Education Level Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in industrial Engineer, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or other related engineering fields.
• Conversational English proficiency

Years and Area of Experience Required:

• Experience 1- 3 years in similar positions.
• Preferred: experience managing projects in operations, engineering, facility, maintenance or other related fields.

Technical Knowledge:

• Basic knowledge and operation of power generator, compressor water pumps, HVAC systems, IT network, electrical equipment,fire supresion and detection system. Preventive Maintenance (buildings and/or equipment)
• Safety standards / regulations knowledge and Purchasing and Contractors management
• Lean Tools knowledge (Continuous Improvement)
• PC Knowledge: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, PBI
• Preferable: MESH Auditor, NFPA 101, NFPA 70E, ISO14001/9001
