HR Leader — Med Tech Supply Chain, China
Position Summary
The Senior Manager, HR Leader Med Tech China Supply Chain serves as the strategic Human Resources partner for the China Integrated Supply Chain leadership team, APAC Surgery Supply Chain Planning, and the Suzhou manufacturing plant. The role partners closely with supply chain, manufacturing, planning, quality, engineering, facilities, procurement, and related business leaders to shape and execute the people agenda across talent, organization effectiveness, leadership capability, culture, engagement, and workforce planning.
This role is accountable for connecting China supply chain business priorities with site-level execution at Suzhou, ensuring the organization has the leadership, capabilities, structure, and culture needed to deliver operational performance, business growth, compliance, and sustainable transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Business Partnership
- Serve as the lead HR partner for the China Integrated Supply Chain team, APAC Surgery Supply Chain Planning and Suzhou manufacturing plant.
- Provide strategic counsel to senior SC leaders on talent, organization design, workforce planning, culture, and business transformation.
- Translate business priorities into clear people strategies that support growth, productivity, operational excellence, and organizational effectiveness.
- Use workforce insights and data to identify risks, opportunities, and practical actions.
Talent Management & Leadership Development
- Lead talent reviews, succession planning, performance calibration, and leadership assessment processes.
- Build strong talent pipelines for critical supply chain and manufacturing leadership roles.
- Accelerate development of high-potential talent and strengthen people manager capability.
- Coach leaders on team effectiveness, performance management, inclusion, engagement, and change leadership.
Organization Design & Workforce Planning
- Lead organization design and workforce planning efforts across China Integrated Supply Chain, APAC Surgery Supply Chain Planning and Suzhou site.
- Support strategic workforce decisions tied to manufacturing, planning, quality, engineering, facilities, procurement, and supply chain operations.
- Drive organization effectiveness, cost optimization, role clarity, job leveling, and future capability building.
- Support transformation efforts, including operating model evolution, productivity improvement, localization, digital transformation, and capability shifts.
Culture, Engagement & Employee Experience
- Champion a Credo-based, inclusive, compliant, and high-performance culture.
- Lead engagement actions across leadership, salaried, and frontline populations.
- Bring the voice of the frontline into business and HR decision-making.
- Partner with leaders to improve retention, accountability, collaboration, and organizational health.
Site HR Leadership & Compliance
- Provide HR leadership for the Suzhou manufacturing plant, including support for local business needs, employee relations, compliance, and audit readiness.
- Partner with manufacturing, quality, engineering, facilities, human resources, and other functions to ensure alignment with regulatory expectations and company standards.
- Support constructive employee relations and ensure HR practices comply with applicable China labor requirements and company policies.
Enterprise HR Partnership
- Work across One HR teams to deliver integrated support for the business.
- Enable global and standardized HR practices while adapting solutions to local China and Suzhou site needs.
- Partner with Talent Management, Total Rewards, Learning and Development, Employee Relations, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Communications teams as needed.
Scope
- Primary location: Shanghai or Suzhou site
- Travel: Primarily site-based between Shanghai and Suzhou; travel may be required based on business need.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree or MBA in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development, or related field preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience; 10–15 years preferred.
- Experience supporting supply chain, manufacturing, or site-based operations in a multinational matrixed organization.
- Strong experience in talent management, organization design, workforce planning, leadership coaching, employee engagement, and change management.
- Experience using data and analytics to influence leaders and shape people solutions.
- Knowledge of China employment practices, labor requirements, and compliance expectations preferred.
- Healthcare, medical device, pharmaceutical, or regulated industry experience preferred.
