Emergency Medical Services Educator - St. Vincent Medical Center
Job Summary:
The position serves as a primary Emergency Medical Services educator, utilizing best practice curriculum and techniques, including simulation if available, to ensure and maintain competency and credentialing of various clinical position as defined by each markets, which may include EMTs, AEMTs, Paramedics and Ambulette Drivers, etc. Liaison with other interfacility and 911 response agencies, assisting with education opportunities and credentialing as requested.
Essential Functions:
- Operates, cleans, and maintains all training equipment and supplies.
- Develops educational material and clinical scenarios.
- Schedules, coordinates, and travels to all Emergency Medical Services Division training events.
- Conducts training at hospitals and on-site at Emergency Medical Services agencies as needed.
- Completes simulator-specific training when appropriate or requested. Stays up to date and educated on functions of the simulator in order to provide thorough training.

Education:
High School Diploma or GED (required)
Licensure/Certification:
Current paramedic-level certification OR RN License in state of practice (required)
Critical Care Paramedic Certification (preferred)
Advanced EMT (preferred)
Basic EMT (preferred)
Emergency Medical Services Instructor (required, or obtained within 6 months of hire)
Basic Life Support (required, or obtained within 6 months of hire)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (required, or obtained within 6 months of hire)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (required, or obtained within 6 months of hire)
Experience:
5 years’ experience as a Paramedic, Advanced EMT, or Basic EMT or RN in prehospital or interfacility transport setting
