Responsibilities

As a Junior Visual C++ Software Engineer, you will contribute to software models and simulation applications under the guidance of experienced engineers. This role is ideal for an early-career developer who wants to deepen their C++ skills while working with real-world vehicle systems, instruments, graphics, and user interfaces.

  • Software modelling of various vehicle systems (aircraft, helicopters, combat vehicles, ships, etc.)
  • Analysis of the technical documentation for the vehicle system or component to be modelled;
  • Preparation of software design documentation for the developed model;
  • Implementation of the source code in accordance with the approved design;
  • Stand-alone testing and validation of the resulting software model.
  • Analysis of the technical documentation for the instrument or indicator to be modelled;
  • Preparation of software design documentation, including specifications for the development of the required graphical textures;
  • Implementation of the source code for indicator graphics rendering and communication with the host/driving application.
  • Development of software-based user interfaces using QT, NET (C#), MFC, or other relevant APIs, with integration capabilities within C++ based environments.
  • Development of specialized applications tailored to the requirements of the simulation industry.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or another relevant technical field.
  • Minimum 1 year experience with C++ including Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and STL
  • Good understanding and practical implementation of mathematical algorithms.
  • Advanced English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Proficiency in MS Office package for technical and software design documentation.
  • Familiarity with SVN and Git, Jira and Confluence and Agile development practices.
  • Strong team-working and collaboration skills.

Desired skills

  • Exposure to simulation, embedded, 3D graphics (OpenGL, DirectX, Vulkan etc.) or vehicle-related software.
  • Experience with Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Qt, C#, MFC, or graphics-rendering APIs, Python or React for web-based applications and user interfaces.
  • Experience using AI tools such as Claude or GitHub Copilot.
